ABOUT YOUR WAYNE COUNTY LIBRARY

Welcome,

The Wayne County Library has been in its current location on Sunset Boulevard since 1988. We offer many free services such as borrowing audio books, paper books, DVDs, CDs, Park Passes, Free Tickets to the GA Aquarium, The Fish Pass, public use computers, and online services as well for at home use. We also offer office services for a small fee such as copying, scanning, faxing, and printing from public computers. We have materials that are fiction, non fiction, biographies, Christian fiction, westerns, large print materials, Young Adult titles, and a children's section that offers books, audio books, DVDs, and CDs.
There have been several changes recently mainly to the building. We have given our library a new look. We have painted, gotten new carpet, resurfaced the foyer, installed new HVAC units, and upgraded our computer stations and increased our public use computers from 13  to 22. We have added a play area and upgraded to educational touch screen computers in the Children's Department. We are currently trying to keep up with the ever changing needs of our patrons; therefore, we are trying a new online Summer Reading Program to complement our current Summer Reading Program. We have a lot of our parents working now, and we needed to offer something for those children who are unable to come to the library for programming. Now parents can pick up craft supply packets for their children along with their reading materials, and then, they can go online when it is convenient for stories, craft instructions, and handouts. We hope this will help our families out and keep Wayne County Reading!

Sincerely,
Deborah A Turner
Library Manager
